control over Procurement functions. Vendor Management Identify and develop a dedicated and alternate
vendor source for achieving cost effective purchases of equipment, raw materials
& packaging materials and reduction in delivery time. Assessment of the performance of the vendors
based on various criteria such as percentage of rejects, quality improvement
rate, timely delivery, credit terms etc.
Follow-up with vendors for timely delivery, quality checks & to ensure
timely payments Coordinate with the inspection department to
organise third-party inspections.
Short list vendors, make techno-commercial recommendations, conduct
negotiations, award Purchase Orders.
Monitor vendor performance, so that alternative action can be pursued, in case
of vendor failures. Check all invoices, co-ordinate with Finance
& Accounts
to ensure timely payments are made to vendors. Out-of-the-box thinker with
